Adult Bouldering Classes
There’s a lot to learn in climbing. We have classes we’d recommend for this. Bouldering classes are lead by our staff— who are all obsessed with climbing. They’ll introduce you to bouldering and the facility and help you get better at climbing, faster.
These adult classes are intended for climbers over 14 years old. Climbing classes are a good mix of instruction, fun, failure, success, laughter, and maybe the occasional swear word.
*Thursday evening classes coming in February
If you’re new to bouldering, this class is 45 minutes of fun that gets you up to speed on our facility and the basics of the activities offered at ABP. At the end of class you should have all the tools to climb and use the gym on your own.
Topics covered include proper falling technique, ABP’s circuit system, starting and finishing climbs, and basic climbing gym etiquette.
Zero to sixty in 45 minutes. Pretty fast.
Classes are offered every Thursday at 6:30-7:15p, and Saturday at 3:30pm. Intro to ABP is free with your day pass, punch-card, or membership. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before class to allow time for waivers, check in, and shoe rental.
This 90 minute class is intended for those looking to improve their basic climbing technique, or those not yet comfortable climbing the purple circuit (V2-V4). Students should leave with the potential to practice new techniques on their own to improve their climbing abilities.
This classes’ goal is to give students an understanding of efficient footwork, climbing vocabulary, and route reading skills.
Classes are offered every Thursday at 7:30-9pm, and Saturday at 4:30pm. Bouldering I is free with your day pass, punch card, or membership. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow for check in, and be ready with climbing shoes by the start of class.
Online registration closes two hours prior to the start of each class. You can sign-up at the front desk within two hours of class, as long as there’s space available.
